Typical time frame  from the time of color choice/commitment to project completion is within 2 short weeks (Allowing ordering and delivery time). Most roofs 6,000 sq ft and under are installed/completed the same day. Siding replacements 2,000 sq ft or less are also completed within one day. 

No, you do not need to be home. If you're a curious one and would like to be home for the installation process, by all means, be our guest! However, if you prefer not to be home during the noisy  process,  feel free to go about your day as usual.

Though in most of St Louis and surrounding areas, Ice & Water shield Is only "Code" to be used in valleys and around penetrations. We at Serenity, as well as most manufacturers, recommend also using it at all eaves to prevent ice damming at the gutter line. 

In most cases we recommend using ridge vent anytime allowable intake (vented soffits) is present. However, sometimes homes are not ideally set up for ridge vent. Gable vents and Solar Power vents can also be great choices depending on your specific home. 

It seems to be an industry standard to use staples, right? Everyone does it, right? No, we believe using staples, while a cost cut for contractors, is not as effective or beneficial to the homeowner. We firmly that cap nails are the best quality option for securing underlayment. Cap nails, because of their 1" diameter cap, more securely hold the felt in place, prevent ripping/tearing of the felt under windy conditions both during install and in the event shingles blow off in a storm, and provide

While some contractors may do this, our answer is NO. It is necessary to remove the old shingles to be able to identify and correct/replace any compromised decking before installing the new shingles. Not only can a layover method compromise the aesthetic of your new roof, it can also prevent a proper seal and/or VOID YOUR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY from day 1!
